Saint John Location

Saint John

At the new Saint John location, women can access a balanced and expanded range of supports aimed at fostering holistic recovery. The larger facility accommodates Open House hours five mornings per week. Women can drop in from 9:30 am until noon to learn about our services and enjoy socializing with others.

For those seeking structured support, the new centre offers a separate meeting room for group workshops. At Sophia, workshops cover various topics pertinent to recovery, such as coping strategies, mindfulness practices, and healing from trauma. These workshops provide opportunities for learning, sharing experiences, and building connections with peers on similar journeys.

In addition to educational workshops, we organize social activities. Whether it's creative arts, music or gardening, these activities foster a sense of belonging and enjoyment in a sober environment.

For personalized support, we offer one-on-one peer support appointments. These are scheduled primarily during the afternoons to ensure a quiet and confidential setting, conducive to deeper conversations and individualized guidance on the path to recovery.

At Sophia Recovery Centre, we're committed to providing a welcoming environment where individuals can progress through their recovery journey at their own pace, with a broad range of supports tailored to meet their needs.

A HUGE Thank You to all of our DONORS for their generous contributions that Raised the Roof on our new Saint John location!
