Services
Sophia Recovery offers something for every woman seeking improved substance use health
This includes family members and others who are personally impacted by addiction.
Our services include one-on-one peer mentoring, group workshops and opportunities to heal alongside other women through social and wellness group activities.
We have Open House hours at all locations. During these times, women are welcome to drop-in and enjoy tea and coffee in the kitchens and homey living rooms of our “home away from home."
In addition, we offer unique programming for girls aged 16+ and we’ve partnered with JUST US, KV Psychology and other local counselling practices so the women in our programs have access to barrier-free mental health counselling.
All Sophia services and activities are offered free of charge. We are so thankful to our
funding partners and many generous donors for making this possible.
Individualized Support
Peer Mentoring
Find your way to wellness with the support of an empathetic peer who will walk the journey alongside you, sharing their lived experience of recovery to help you navigate the challenges.
For women seeking recovery:
Regular calls or meetings with Recovery Peers provide individualized guidance and practical tools for success.
For family members:
Appointments with a Family Support Peer provide encouragement and facilitate learning about the CRAFT approach to supporting a family member with a substance use disorder.
