Since moving into our Saint John location in 2024, Sophia Recovery Centre has supported hundreds of women and families through programs, support, and connection. We meet people where they are and help them move toward stability, healing, and hope.
Now, we need to find More Room for Recovery.
Through a $750,000 capital campaign, Sophia Recovery Centre is raising funds to expand our Main Street facility and create more space for women and families seeking support, connection, and healing.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are once again facing the need to expand. In 2025, Sophia introduced two important new programs: the Bridge to Recovery Intensive Group and the Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP), increasing the need for dedicated space and services.
To meet this demand, Sophia is planning an 1,800-square-foot expansion that will enhance programming and increase capacity.
We're ready to break ground this fall, but we need your help to make it happen.
Our Next Chapter
The expansion will create purpose-built spaces to better support women and families in recovery, including areas for group programming, parent-child support, and community connection. By creating a welcoming, child-friendly environment, these spaces will help reduce barriers to engagement and strengthen outcomes for both mothers and children. New office and collaborative workspaces will also support Sophia’s growing team of peer support workers, advocates, and mentors.
As a small non-profit, we rely on donations to sustain this lifeline of recovery support for our community.
